Derry leads Aon’s Global Asset Allocation Team, which is responsible for Aon Wealth’s investment strategy and economic views, including asset class research, capital market assumptions, and shorter-term tactical ideas.
Derry has worked in finance for 25 years. He joined Aon in 2017. Prior to that he was at a South African fund manager for 6 years, where he was co-Head of Asset Allocation, and 8 years as Chief Economist at a multiple Euro-hedge award winning hedge fund manager, where he helped grow assets under management from $3bn to $15bn.
Derry did his undergraduate studies in economics at Cambridge University where he graduated in the top 5% of his year. He also holds a MSC (Distinction) in Financial Economics from the University of London, and CFA, CAIA and IMC designations.
