Dr Panayiotis C. Andreou is Professor of Finance at the Cyprus University of Technology, specialising in corporate finance, asset pricing, sustainable finance, and household financial behaviour. He has published extensively in leading international journals and authored key studies that shape financial literacy policy in Cyprus. In 2019, he founded the Financial Wellbeing Institute (FWI), an NGO dedicated to promoting financial literacy, financial education, and digital financial literacy, where he has served as President ever since. Since 2017, he has collaborated with the Central Bank of Cyprus as a financial literacy expert, and since 2024 he has been a member of the Scientific and Advisory Board of the Cyprus Financial Literacy and Education Committee (CyFLEC). Through his research, policy engagement, and leadership of international projects, including EU-funded initiatives on digital financial literacy and financial education in schools, Dr Andreou has been actively advancing financial wellbeing and education, bringing many years of practical experience to both policy and practice.
